Jens Rosén (Artistic Director of Stockholm 59° North).

Nationality: Swedish

Jens began his training as a student at the Royal Swedish Ballet School. He joined the Royal Swedish Ballet in 1995 and was promoted First Soloist in 1999. In 2000 he moved to Madrid to work with Victor Ullate Ballet Company and in 2001 he changed company to join Compania Nacional de Danza (Madrid) and the Choreographer Nacho Duato. In 2006 he decided to go back to the Royal Swedish Ballet and in 2007 he was appointed Artistic Director of Stockholm 59° North.

During his time as Artistic Director, the Company has performed in the most prestigious Dance festivals and stages in Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Switserland, Spain, USA, Canada, Argentina and Colombia.

He has also frequently worked as a teacher and Répétiteur, been giving Workshops and worked as a Répétiteur at the Royal Swedish Ballet. He has worked as a Rehersal Director with choreographies by Nacho Duato, Mats Ek, Pontus Lidberg, Pär Isberg and Giovanni Bucchieri.
